Menus

Description of the NeoLoad menus:

• File
  • New: Displays the New project dialog.
  • Open: Opens an existing NeoLoad project.
  • Close: Closes the current project and displays the NeoLoad welcome screen.
  • Save: Saves the current project.
  • Save as: Saves the current project in another directory.
  • Import Project: Imports a project into the current project.

  • Export Project: Exports the current project either to disk as a zip file or to Neotys Support.

  • Export Project for NeoSense: Exports the current project either to disk as a zip file or directly into NeoSense.

  • <recent projects>: Lists the recently-opened NeoLoad projects.
  • Exit: Closes the NeoLoad graphical user interface and exits the program.

You may change the default NeoLoad project directory in the global preferences (Edit > Preferences), in the Advanced section.

• Edit
  • Undo <last action>: Cancels the user's last action in Design view.
  • Redo <last action>: Re-applies the user's last action in Design view.
  • Variables: Opens the Variables editing panel. Used to create, edit or delete NeoLoad variables.

  • JS Libraries: Displays the JavaScript library manager. Used to add, edit or delete JavaScript libraries.

  • SLA Profiles: Displays the Service Level Agreements (SLA) profiles manager. Used to perform all actions on the SLA profiles.

  • Search and Replace: Launches the Search and Replace wizard.

  • Preferences: Opens the Preferences panel (global preferences and current project preferences).

• Share: menu activated for the optional Collaboration module.

  • Check Out Project: Retrieves a project shared on the collaboration server.

  • Retrieve Tag: Retrieves a frozen version from the collaboration server into a new project.

  • Share Project: Shares the current project onto the collaboration server.

  • Publish Project: Publishes the changes in a project onto the collaboration server.

  • Update Project: Retrieves the changes brought by other team members.

  • Cancel local changes: Cancels the changes brought after the last update.

  • Publish Test Results: Displays the Results manager.

  • Retrieve Test Results: Displays the Results manager on the collaboration server.

  • Remote Results Manager: Displays the Results manager on the collaboration server.

  • Advanced
    • Tag Project: Freezes a version of the project on the collaboration server.

    • Replace By Tag: Replaces the content of the current project with the content of a frozen version from the collaboration server.

    • Clean up Project: Unlocks the project after unexpected stop.

    • Repair Project: Repairs a copy of the local project if publishing or update is impossible.

  • Collaboration Preferences: Displays the Preferences of the collaboration server.

• Record
  • Start Recording: Displays the Start Recording dialog.

  • Recording Preferences: Displays the NeoLoad HTTP recorder Preferences.

• Run
  • Start Playing: Displays the NeoLoad Runtime section and starts the test for the current scenario.

    When a test is running in normal mode, this menu is replaced by Stop test, which allows stopping the test being run.
  • Start Debugging: Displays the NeoLoad Runtime section and starts the test for the current scenario in debug mode.

    When a test is running in debug mode, this menu is replaced by Stop test, which allows stopping the test being run.
  • Start Checking: Displays the Check User Path dialog.

• Tools
  • Flag Requests: Displays the Flag Requests dialog.

  • Cloud Console: Display the Cloud Console to manage Cloud sessions and their Load Generators.

  • Project Sanity Check: Displays the Project Sanity Check wizard which provides a summary list of alerts on a test design.

  • Results Manager: Displays the Results manager.

• Help
  • Help: Displays the NeoLoad off-line help file.
    Context-sensitive help is available by pressing F1; we may also carry out a search in the Search Help toolbar.
  • Online Documentation Center: Launches the machine default web browser and displays the Neotys on-line documentation center.
    Documentation is available on-line in HTML on the Neotys website.
