Changing the quantity of products in an order

Use the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator to change the quantity of products in an order (for example, if a customer requests a purchase of two books, instead of one). Changing the quantity can affect discounts (such as promotions) and might require payment to be authorized again. This could also result in the order amount being changed, which in turn leads to changes to the payment method.

Procedure

  1. Open WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.

  2. Find the order that to work with.

  3. Open the Change Order notebook by selecting the check box next to the order that to work with, and clicking Change.

  4. The notebook opens at the Products page. Type the appropriate quantity in the Quantity field. For a non-ATP store, ensure that there is sufficient inventory to fulfill the quantity selected. You can check the Inventory Status report for inventory.

  5. Click Update Total to adjust the total cost of the products ordered. The new total appears next to the Total field.

  6. To make other changes to this order, use the links on the left side to switch between order pages. Click Submit to save and submit the order or Save to save the order without submitting it.
