Create attachments
Use the Assets tool to create an attachment with Web content, such as files or URLs.
- Open the Assets tool.
- Use one of the following methods to create a new attachment:
- From the File menu, select New > Attachment.
- From the list beside the
Create new button, select Attachment.
- In the properties view, click the Manage Attachment tab. In the General Attachment Information section, complete the following information:
Option Description Code The unique identifier for the attachment. For example, 300011Att. If you do not specify the code, a unique identifier is automatically generated for the attachment. Name The name of the attachment. Short description Enter a brief description of the attachment. To display the field as a column in a list view, right-click a column heading in the list view and click Configure Columns. Long description Enter a detailed description, if applicable. This field is not displayed by default in the list view. To display the field as a column in a list view, right-click a column heading in the list view and click Configure Columns. - In the Files or URLs section, use either of these methods to add web content to your attachment:
- Add a file to your new attachment. This file is added to the list of Files or URLs.
- Add a URL to your new attachment. This URL is added to the list of Files or URLs.
- Specify the languages for each file or URL:
- Place your mouse over the editable cell within the Files or URLs table for the language that you want to apply to a file or URL and click the
edit (pencil) icon.
- Select the check box to apply the language to the selected file or URL.
If you do not specify a language for a URL, all languages that are supported in the selected store are applied to the URL.
- Click Save and Close, or click Close.
