Creating a shape object

Shape objects consist of lines created with drawing tools.

To draw a shape object:

  1. On the Operations toolbar, click the drawing tool that you wish to use. You can choose the following tools:

    Picture of the Straight line button Line tool

    Draws a straight line.

    Picture of the Zigzag line button Zig zag tool

    Draws a zig zag line.

    Picture of the Curve (Specify anchor points) button Curve tool

    Draws a curved line.

    Picture of the Curve (smooth) button Smooth curve tool

    Draws a smoothed curved line.

    Picture of the Curve (freehand) button Freehand line tool

    Draws lines freehand.

    Picture of the Ellipse/Circle (Outline and fill) button Ellipse tool

    Draws an ellipse.

    Picture of the Rectangle (Outline and fill) icon Square tool

    Draws a rectangle or square.

    Picture of the Corner-rounded rectangle (Outline and fill) button Rounded square tool

    Draws a curved rectangle or square.

    Picture of the Polygon (Outline and fill) button Polygon tool.

    Draws a polygon.

  2. Specify fill color, line color, width, type, or thickness on the Operations toolbar if you wish.

  3. Use the mouse to draw a shape object on the canvas.
