Configure WebSphere Portal with WebSphere Commerce
To configure WebSphere Commerce with WebSphere Portals complete configuration tasks on each machine.
- Configure the WebSphere Application Server Deployment Manager
- Configure the WebSphere Portal server cluster
- Configure the WebSphere Commerce Server cluster
- Configure the data replication domain
You can configure the data replication domain for WebSphere Portal. The replication service is used for replicating the invalidation events.
- Configure the core group
- Configure the security domains
The security domains provide the flexibility to use different security configurations in WebSphere Application Server, such as having WebSphere Portal to be configured to use both administrative security and application security in the Portal cluster, while WebSphere Commerce cluster members can have only administrative security enabled. Configuring the security domains is optional when the security configuration for both WebSphere Commerce and WebSphere Portal are the same. That is, when both administrative security and application security are enabled.
