Configure the data replication domain

You can configure the data replication domain for WebSphere Portal. The replication service is used for replicating the invalidation events.

Procedure

  1. Create a new data replication domain with no encryption type for the Entire Domain using the Deployment Manager's Integration Solution Console.

  2. Enable cache replication on this data replication domain for all WebSphere Portal and WebSphere Commerce cluster members. That is, for each server in each of these two clusters, the dynamic cache service must be enabled and set to the above replication domain for all cache invalidation events to propagate between the two clusters:

    1. Under the Consistency settings of the default cache instance of each server, set the Full Group Replication Domain to the one you just created above.

    2. Set the replication type to Not Shared.

  3. See Use the DistributedMap and DistributedObjectCache interfaces for the dynamic cache for more information about the default cache instance and how to access it through the JNDI server.
