Enable WebSphere Portal security with a LDAP user registry

When enabling WebSphere Portal security update the WebSphere Portal LDAP settings.

Verify the root organization in WebSphere Commerce matches the root organization in LDAP, and also matches the VMM base DN in WebSphere Portal.


Procedure

  1. Verify the WebSphere Portal server environment is stopped.

  2. Open the Configuration Wizard.

  3. Enable LDAP security:

    1. Select Configuring security and click Next.

    2. Select Configuring Federated Repository and click Next.

    3. Select Add Federated LDAP Repository and click Next.

    4. Complete the wizard using the LDAP server settings.

    5. On the Summary page, click Next.

    6. When the configuration is complete, review the logs, and click Finish. The location of the log file is displayed on the page, the default location is wp_profile/ConfigEngine/log/configwizard.log.
