Administer > Manage WebSphere Commerce features > WebSphere Commerce integration with WebSphere Portal > Configure WebSphere Portal with WebSphere Commerce
Configure the WebSphere Application Server Deployment Manager
Procedure
- Start the WAS ND installation wizard. During the installation wizard:
- Select None when prompted at the WebSphere Application Server Environment selection.
- Do not create a Centralized Installation Repository.
- Upgrade the software level to the latest recommended WebSphere Application Server 7 fix level if necessary.
It is highly recommended to use the same WebSphere Application Server maintenance level across the entire WebSphere Application Server cell. That is, use the same WebSphere Application Server level for all WebSphere Portal and WebSphere Commerce installations, and the Deployment Manager.
- Create a Deployment Manager profile using the WebSphere Application Server Profile Manager. During profile creation:
- Select Cell to create a default Deployment Manager profile.
- Select default application server profile with Administrative Security enabled.
- Start the Deployment Manager and open the Administrative Console.
- Configure the required WebSphere Application Server settings for Portal:
- See Prepare the operating system for product installation for more information.
