Configure the core group

Procedure

  1. For replication of the cache invalidation events to be shared amongst servers from multiple clusters, such as the WebSphere Commerce cluster and the WebSphere Portal cluster, it is necessary to define all cluster members of WebSphere Commerce and WebSphere Portal to be in the same core group.

You can choose one of the following methods:

    • Reuse the default core group that was created for the current cell.

    • Create a new core group and move the existing servers to this new core group.

  2. Review and ensure that all cluster members of both the WebSphere Commerce cluster and the WebSphere Portal cluster are participating in the same core group, such as DefaultCoreGroup, using the Deployment Manager’s Integration Solution Console.

  3. Assign a core group coordinator to a cluster member that has the least utilization, such as the Deployment Manager node.
