Changing the SKU name
Procedure
- Find the product containing the SKU to change.
- Select a field in the product row containing the SKU to change, and from the Actions menu, click Show SKUs.
- Use one of the following methods to change the SKU name:
- Change SKU notebook:
- Select a field in the SKU row that to change, and from the Actions menu, click Change SKU. The Change SKU notebook opens.
- On the General page, change the SKU name, such as "25 piece wooden train set".
- Click OK to save the changes and close the notebook.
- Product Management dynamic table:
- Click the field containing the SKU name. The row is highlighted and the selected table cell is outlined.
- Type the changed SKU name, such as "25 piece wooden train set".
- Click Save.
Results
Notes:
- The SKU name is language specific; that is, if the product is offered at a French store and a Japanese store, and to change its name for both stores, change the Name field for each store.
To work in another language, click the Select icon, found in the upper left corner.
- You can switch to a different language only if you are authorized to work with more than one of the WebSphere Commerce supported languages and if the language is available.
- If the changes to the catalog data do not display in the store, the Site Administrator may need to remove the currently cached JSP pages.
