Hide a SKU
You can hide a SKU so that it does not display to customers, for example, if the SKU is temporarily out of stock:
Procedure
- Find the product containing the SKU to change.
- Select a field in the product row containing the SKU to change, and from the Actions menu, click Show SKUs.
- Select a field in the SKU row that to change. The background for the selected field is highlighted, and from the Actions menu, click Change SKU.
- When you open the notebook, the General page displays. Clear the Display to customers check box.
- To hide and close the notebook, click OK.
- Optional: To hide the SKU in additional store languages:
- Click the Select icon.
- Change the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator language to the language for which to hide the SKU.
- Repeat steps 1-5.
- Repeat steps a-c for each additional language for which to hide the SKU.
Results
Notes:
- The status of the Display to customers check box is language specific; that is, if the SKU is offered at a French and a Japanese store, change the status of the Display to customers check box for each store.
To work in another language, click the Select icon, found in the upper left corner.
- You can switch to a different language only if you are authorized to work with more than one of the WebSphere Commerce supported languages and if the language is available.
- If the changes to the catalog data do not display in the store, the Site Administrator may need to remove the currently cached JSP pages.
