Tutorial: Creating RFQs

Your national hardware group has decided to include expansion onto the Internet as part of its strategic plan to expand its customer base. WebSphere Commerce will be the basis for this endeavor. You will be using advanced B2B starter store (B2BAdvancedStore) to create a pilot version of the online store to serve as the basis for the operational store.
Learning objectives
The RFQ trading mechanism is inoperative unless explicitly enabled by the site administrator. Many of these tasks may have been completed by the IT staff. Descriptions are provided to give you an overview of the entire process. The organization type and the role of the user responsible for the task is shown (organization: role) in parentheses.

Make RFQs functional requires several preparatory steps:
- Enable the RFQ trading mechanism (seller: site administrator)
- Enable RFQ notification messaging (seller: site administrator)
- Create users with the Seller role
- Deciding if response approval is to be functional (seller: site administrator)
- Ensure that WebSphere Commerce Payments has been set up
