Send Web pages

During a session, you can automatically direct a customer's browser to a specific Web page. For example, if a customer cannot find the Web page that describes a particular product, you can redirect the customer's browser to the correct Web page.

To send a Web page to a customer:


Procedure

  1. Make sure you are on the Session tab.

  2. Use chat message, inform the customer that you would like to direct the customer's browser to a different Web page. Explain that the customer should not touch the keyboard or mouse during the process.

  3. Click Send Page. The Select Page dialog box displays on the screen.

  4. Either select a Web page from the predefined URL list, or type a Web page address in the URL field, or copy and paste a Web page address in the URL field.

  5. (Note : For selecting a URL from the predefined URL list, modify the CustomerCareStoreURLList.jsp for store and CCSiteURLList.jsp for site level. You should uncomment the block of code for adding URL group or pages.)

  6. Click Send to Browser. The Send Web Page dialog automatically closes. The customer's browser displays the new Web page.
