Troubleshoot: Checking that the WebSphere Commerce feature pack is installed on your machine

After installing a WebSphere Commerce feature pack, you want to ensure that the feature pack is installed correctly.

 

Problem

After installing the WebSphere Commerce feature pack you are unable to verify that it is installed.

 

Solution

To check if the feature pack is installed on your machine...

  1. I5/OS|Start a QShell session using the STRQSH command.

  2. From a command prompt run the following command:

    • AIX|I5/OS|Linux|Solaris|WC_installdir/bin/versionInfo.sh

    • Windows: WC_installdir/bin/versionInfo.bat

    • WCDE_installdir/bin/versionInfo.bat

      This command is only available for WebSphere Commerce v6 with fix pack 1 or higher installed.

  3. Run this command produces an output that includes the product information. For example:

    • WebSphere Commerce Feature Pack 1: 
      Installed Product

If the output does not include an entry for the feature pack you are installing, the WebSphere Commerce feature pack has not been installed properly.
