Disable features
If you want to uninstall a WebSphere Commerce feature pack, you must disable any features first.Prerequisite
- The WebSphere Commerce feature pack contains features that you can disable. If you plan to disable any of the features in the feature pack, create backups of your current configuration. To backup the application, issue the following command on the application server machine:
- AIX|Linux|Solaris|WC_profiledir/bin/backupConfig.sh backup_file.zip
- I5/OS:
WC_profiledir/bin/backupConfig backup_file.zip
- Windows: WC_profiledir/bin/backupConfig.bat backup_file.zip
where backup_file specifies the name of the backup file. The system will create this file for you in the WC_profiledir/bin directory.
- If restore your configuration, use the restoreConfig command on the application server machine:
- AIX|Linux|Solaris|WC_profiledir/bin/restoreConfig.sh backup_file.zip
- I5/OS:
WC_profiledir/bin/restoreConfig backup_file.zip
- Windows: WC_profiledir/bin/restoreConfig.bat backup_file.zip
where backup_file specifies the name of the backup file created with the backupConfig command.
- To backup your database, refer to the database vendor's user manual for information on backup and restoring.
Notes:
- If you have configured WebSphere Commerce with the WebSphere Portal feature, it is not possible to disable the feature.
- Do not disable the WebSphere Commerce services feature if you have configured the WebSphere Commerce with WebSphere Portal feature.
