Completing the ND configuration
After creating and configuring the databases, start the dmgr server and federate the empty nodes into the dmgr cell. Then create the deployment environment, complete additional configuration steps, and start the cluster.
- Starting the dmgr
After configuring the DB2 database, start the dmgr server.- Federating the empty node into the dmgr cell
When you federate the empty node into the dmgr cell, you associate the empty node with the dmgr so that you can use the dmgr to administer the node.- Create the deployment environment
You can configure the components in an ND cell by creating and generating a deployment environment. The typical configuration for a deployment environment on IBM BPM for z/OS is a single cluster topology.
- Update the configuration values for cluster members
After you create the deployment environment for the single cluster topology and generate the cluster, run the WpsUpdate.py script to ensure configuration consistency.- Loading the database with system information
Before you can successfully start the cluster in a deployment environment, configuration data for the business process management applications must be loaded into the database. You can do this by using the bootstrap utility (bootstrapProcessServerData.sh).- Starting the cluster and verifying the installation
After you create the deployment environment and complete the relevant configuration tasks, you can start all the servers in a cluster in one action. You can then verify the IBM BPM installation.- ConsolidateJAASAuthAliases.py script
ConsolidateJAASAuthAliases.py is a wsadmin script used to consolidate the JAAS authentication aliases, which are used for database access. These aliases are defined by the augmentation process or are defined when a deployment environment is created.
