Configuration scenarios

There are three basic configuration scenarios for IBM^® Workplace Web Content Management™; authoring, staging and delivery.

• Configuring an authoring server
  An authoring server is used to create and manage Web Content.

• Configuring a staging application
  Although you can syndicate data directly from an authoring server to a delivery server there are occasions where it is beneficial to include a staging server in your system.

• Configuring a delivery server
  A delivery server is used to display Web content to end-users either using a rendering portlet, theIBM Workplace Web Content Management servlet, or pre-rendered HTML files.
