Configure a staging application
Although you can syndicate data directly from an authoring server to a delivery server there are occasions where it is beneficial to include a staging server in your system.
A staging application is used:
- To aggregate changes to a Web Site over time and push these aggregated changes to the delivery application in batches.
- To aggregate content from multiple authoring applications before syndicating to a delivery application.
No portlets are required to be installed on a staging server. All you need to configure are the syndication relationships between the staging server and the authoring and delivery servers.
