Configure an authoring server

An authoring server is used to create and manage Web Content.

To configure an authoring server for IBM® Workplace Web Content Management :

  1. Install Critically important WebSphere Portal 6.0.1 and 6.0.1.1 fixes for Workplace Web Content Manager users

  2. Install and configure at least one authoring portlet.

    This step is not required in WebSphere Portal Express because the installation program automatically installs and configures the Authoring portlet.

  3. Create and configure at least one Web content library.

  4. Define which items will use workflows and profiling

  5. Create a syndication relationship with either a staging or delivery server.
