Configure an authoring server
An authoring server is used to create and manage Web Content.
To configure an authoring server for IBM® Workplace Web Content Management :
- Install Critically important WebSphere Portal 6.0.1 and 6.0.1.1 fixes for Workplace Web Content Manager users
- Install and configure at least one authoring portlet.
This step is not required in WebSphere Portal Express because the installation program automatically installs and configures the Authoring portlet.
- Create and configure at least one Web content library.
- Define which items will use workflows and profiling
- Create a syndication relationship with either a staging or delivery server.
