Staging Web content to production
A IBM® Workplace Web Content Management™ solution will require more than one instance of the Web Content Management application and Web Content Management portlets. These multiple installations are used to separate authoring from delivery, load-balance a Web Content Management environment, and to provide redundancy.
- Basic architectures
You can set up your IBM Workplace Web Content Management environment with a combination of authoring, staging, and delivery applications to support both test and production environments.- Decentralized authoring
Typically a single authoring application is sufficient to manage all authoring activities in most environments. However, there might be some cases when you might want to set up a decentralized authoring environment.- Built-in redundancy
Syndication can be used to supply built-in redundancy to a group of Web Content Management applications.- Delivery options
There are several different ways you can choose to deliver IBM Workplace Web Content Management content to users, including rendering portlets, a specialized servlet, and pre-rendered sites.- Secured architecture
Firewalls can used to secure IBM Workplace Web Content Management applications.- Syndication
Syndication is used to transport data from one instance of IBM Workplace Web Content Management to another.
