Create e-Marketing Spots
An e-Marketing spot is the reserved area on a store Web page that is dedicated to displaying personalized marketing content from campaign activities. When a customer requests a page, any e-Marketing Spots present on the page communicate with server to process code associated with the e-Marketing Spot. Each e-Marketing Spot has one or more campaign activities associated with it.
Before you begin
Before the e-Marketing Spot can be used, a store developer must:
- Create a JSP file for the e-Marketing Spot using the sample e-Marketing Spot JSP code snippet.
- Add the e-Marketing Spot to a store page.
Procedure
- Open the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.
- Click Marketing > e-Marketing Spots. The e-Marketing Spots list displays, containing the e-Marketing Spots currently defined for the selected store. If you do not see this menu, then the logon ID does not have the appropriate authority to perform this task. Contact the Site Administrator.
- Click New. The New e-Marketing Spot wizard opens, enabling you to define the e-Marketing Spot.
- Complete the e-Marketing Spot Definition page as appropriate.
- Click Finish to save the e-Marketing Spot. The e-Marketing Spot is displayed in the e-Marketing Spots list.
