Replace the content of managed files

You can replace the content of an existing managed file; you cannot change the name of the file.

Procedure

  1. Open the Assets tool.

  2. From the explorer view filter, select Files, and navigate to the directory that contains the file that to change.

  3. In the Files list view, right-click the file and click Open. The properties view displays.

  4. Click beside the File field to browse the local file system for the file that to use to replace the content of the current managed file.

If you are working in an extended sites store, the selected file is an asset store object, and you are not authorized to access the asset store, then you cannot change the content of the selected file. The file content is replaced.

  5. Click Save and Close, or click Close.
