Delete managed directories

You might want to delete a managed directory from the WebSphere Commerce Server if you no longer have any use for that directory. You cannot delete a directory if it contains any files.

Before you begin

Before you can delete a directory, delete all files under this directory, as well as all files under any subdirectories within this directory.

Procedure

  1. Open the Assets tool.

  2. From the explorer view filter, select Files to list the managed directories and select the directory that to delete.

  3. From the explorer tree, delete the managed directory using one of these methods:

    • Right-click the managed directory; then click Delete.

    • Select the managed directory and click .

Results

The managed directory is deleted.

If you are working in an extended sites store and the directory that to delete belongs to an asset store, you cannot delete the directory unless you are authorized to access the asset store.
