Add URLs to attachments

You can add URLs to a selected attachment. For example, if several PDF files that describe the characteristics of a product are stored on a remote content server and you want a specific attachment to contain these PDF files, you can add the URL of these PDF files to the attachment.

Procedure

  1. Open the Assets tool.

  2. Find the attachment to which to add a URL.

  3. In the properties view, select the Manage Attachment tab.

  4. In the Files or URLs section, click to add a new row to the Files or URLs table.

  5. Complete the following information:

    Option Description
Path Type the full path of the URL that to add to the current attachment. For example, http://fileserver.com/images/Poster.jpg
Language Select each language to which to apply the specified URL:

    1. Place the pointer over the editable cell within the Files or URLs table for the language that to apply to the URL and click the edit (pencil) icon.

    2. If you want shoppers to see a different URL depending on language, select the appropriate check box. If you do not select a language, all shoppers will see this URL.

Repeat this step for all appropriate languages.

  6. Click Save and Close, or click Close.

Results

The URL is added as an attachment asset of the current attachment, and is applied to the selected languages.
