Changing marketing experiments

You can update a marketing experiment to correct errors or adjust strategy.


Procedure

  1. Open the Marketing tool.

  2. From the explorer view, click Activities. The Activities - List page opens.

  3. Right-click the activity that contains the experiment to change; then click Deactivate.

  4. Right-click the activity again; then click Open. The Activity Builder displays showing the selected Web activity.

  5. To change one or more elements in the experiment:

    1. Click any element to open the properties dialog for that element.

    2. Change the properties associated with that element.

  6. To add another element to the experiment:

    1. Drag a new element onto the flow connector in the work area.

    2. Define any properties appropriate for the new element.

  7. To add another path to the experiment:

    1. Click the Experiment element. The properties view updates with the properties of the experiment.

    2. On the Paths tab, click New to add a path to the table. The Activity Builder updates to display the new path.

    3. Drag new elements onto the flow connectors on the new path as necessary.

    4. Define any properties appropriate for the new elements.

  8. To remove an element from the experiment, right-click the element, then click Remove.

  9. Update, add, or remove additional elements to complete the Web activity.

  10. Click Save to save the activity, or click Save and Close to close the Activity Builder and return to the previous page.


Results

The activity is saved with the updated experiment.
