Work with products
The Product Manager manages products, including adding or changing products in the catalog hierarchy.
- Create products
A product is an item or a group of items that exhibit the same attributes. You might want to add products to the catalog during various times of the year to reflect marketing goals.
- Changing products
You can change product information, such as the name, product code, description, images, inventory, shipping charges, discounts, or manufacturer.
- Delete products
You might want to delete a product if you no longer wish to sell it in the store. If a product is deleted, all associated SKUs, attributes, and attribute values are also deleted.
- View associated assets
You can view assets that are associated with a sales catalog, category, or catalog entry in the Catalogs tool.
- View attachment details
You can view existing attachments that are associated with a sales catalog, category, or catalog entry and the list of files or URLs it contains, all within the Catalogs tool.
- Find and associating assets
You can find and associate assets such as files, URLs or existing attachments to categories, sales catalogs, and catalog entries, all within the Catalogs tool. This enables you to complete activities without switching tools.
- Delete associated assets
You can delete associated assets from sales catalogs, categories, and catalog entries in the Catalogs tool.
- Find attribute dictionary catalog entry attributes
If the attribute dictionary has been loaded into WebSphere Commerce, you can view the attribute dictionary attributes assigned to any catalog entry.
