Start WebSphere Commerce Payments from the Windows services panel
To start WebSphere Commerce Payments from the Windows services panel:
- (Optional) Checking the WebSphere Commerce Payments instance password requirement.
If your WebSphere Commerce Payments instance was created as part of using the quick installation option of the WebSphere Commerce installation, the WebSphere Commerce Payments instance password is not required by default.
If your WebSphere Commerce Payments instance was created using the WebSphere Commerce Configuration Manager, the person creating the WebSphere Commerce Payments instance could chose whether the instance password was required or not.
You should check if the WebSphere Commerce Payments instance password is required if you are unsure of the setting.
- Do one of the following, depending on whether a password is required or not:
- If a password is not required:
- Start the WebSphere Commerce Payments application server.
- If a password is required:
If WebSphere Commerce is not already started, you may want to start it after starting WebSphere Commerce Payments. For instructions on starting WebSphere Commerce refer to the related topic below.

To stop WebSphere Commerce Payments from the Windows services panel:
