Checking WebSphere Commerce Payments instance password requirements

To check if the WebSphere Commerce Payments instance password is required when starting WebSphere Commerce Payments from a command line:

  1. Open the following file in a text editor: 
    

    (AIX)(Linux)(Solaris)(Windows) WC_installdir/payments/instances/payments_instance/PaymentsInstance.properties



    (i5/OS) WC_userdir/payments/instances/payments_instance/PaymentsInstance.properties

  2. Locate the UnattendedRestart parameter

    A value of 0 for the UnattendedRestart parameter indicates that a password is required.
    A value of 1 for the UnattendedRestart parameter indicates that a password is not required.

  3. Exit the text editor.
