Start and stop WebSphere Commerce
The WebSphere Commerce instance is created and administered within a WAS profile. To start or stop a WebSphere Commerce instance start or stop the associated WAS profile.
To start or stop a WebSphere Commerce instance:
- Decide which WebSphere Commerce instance you want to start or stop.
- Follow the instructions for stopping and starting an application server for your platform:
- AIX|Linux|Solaris|Start and stop an application server on AIX, Linux, and Solaris operating environment
- I5/OS:
- Windows: Start and stop an application server from a Windows command prompt
- Windows: Start and stop an application server from the Windows Services panel
- Start and stop WebSphere Commerce Test Server within the WebSphere Commerce Developer
- Start the WAS console. Select the appropriate link from the left pane based on your version of WAS.
- Start the WebSphere Commerce Information Center.
The WebSphere Commerce Information Center must be started in order to provide help when using the WebSphere Commerce tools such as WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.
If WebSphere Commerce Payments is not already started, start it after starting WebSphere Commerce.
