Process: Shop at a B2B reseller store
Flow
Objective
To allow the buyer a variety of shopping experiences in an online store
Description
Registered customers can explore the catalog; create shopping carts and place orders; manage their customer profile and use a variety of features provided by the store.
Features
- Customers can order the desired products quickly and easily.
- Customers can find products of interest in different ways.
- Customers can use a requisition list to manage frequently ordered products.
- Customers can use negotiated contracts to govern order pricing
- Customers submit a Request for Quote (RFQ), resulting in either an order or a contract.
- Registered customers can record personal information in the WebSphere Commerce system. This personal information can be used by the store to create targeted promotions.
Customization
- The site design and shopping flow can be customized. For example, the store's Welcome page could display information about previous orders; and the checkout process could be made even quicker.
- Allow unregistered customers to access the site by using the default contract.
- May Customize the layout and number of e-Marketing Spots on store pages.
- Personalize the site for each customer, for example the store's pages could display customer-specific logos.
- Change access control policies, so that members within the same organization could see each others shopping carts. Access control policies could also be changed so that the customer's purchasing department would have full access to all shopping carts and orders within their organization.
