Troubleshoot: Error message - The specified instance does not exist

When enabling a feature on your WebSphere Commerce instance, a BUILD FAILED message is displayed.

 

Problem

You receive the following error when enabling a feature:

BUILD FAILED
file:/opt/IBM/WebSphere/CommerceServer60/components/common/xml/checkPrerequisites.xml:24:
The specified instance, dmo, does not exist. 

 

Solution

This error is caused by a typo in parameter -DinstanceName of the config_ant command. Enable the feature again specifying the correct -DinstanceName information.
