Troubleshoot: FileNotFound error when enabling a feature

When enabling a feature on your WebSphere Commerce instance, an error is displayed.

 

Problem

You receive a FileNotFound error when enabling a feature.

As an example, the following errors are logged:

[CheckFeaturePrerequisite] checking file system ...
[CheckFeaturePrerequisite] java.io.FileNotFoundException:
/opt/IBM/WebSphere/CommerceServer60/components/jca4webservices/xml/prereq.xml
(No such file or directory)

 

Solution

Attempting to enable a feature without installing the appropriate WebSphere Commerce feature pack will result in this error. Download and install the appropriate WebSphere Commerce feature pack and enable the feature again.
