Application support files are installed on...

They are required for correct presentation of information from the agents in Tivoli Enterprise Portal.

The support files enable IBM Tivoli Monitoring communication with the agents.

On the Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server, support files provide the data tables and situations for ITCAM for Application Diagnostics.

On the Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server, support files provide the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics workspaces that display the monitoring information and include code that processes situation information for the Summary workspaces. Support files for the browser client, which provide the help information and language packs for the browser-based portal client, are also installed on the portal server.

On the Tivoli Enterprise Portal client, support files provide the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics help information and language packs.

The support files must be installed on all Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Servers, all Tivoli Enterprise Portal Servers, and Tivoli Enterprise Portal clients except browser-based clients. A separate set of support files is used for each of the agents.
