WebArt Designer components
Canvas
The canvas is the large white rectangle located in the middle of the WebArt Designer window. This is the work area where you can place and edit graphics.
Toolbars
There are three kinds of toolbars in WebArt Designer. In all cases, you can find out what toolbar buttons do by moving your mouse pointer over the button and reading the tip that appears at the bottom of the window.
The Standard toolbar is located at the top of the window directly beneath the menu bar. It contains basic functions used to manage files and the display. For example, you can use the icons on this toolbar to save a file, hide certain dialogs, and start some wizards.
The Operations toolbar is located to the left of the canvas. It contains drawing tools and other tools that you can use to edit and manipulate your graphics. Items in the toolbar might be enabled or disabled based on whether you have content on the canvas.
The Image toolbar is located to the right of the operations toolbar. It contains effects that you can apply to images on the canvas.
Template Gallery
The Template Gallery is located to the left of the operations toolbar. It contains the WebArt Gallery, which displays sample button, logo, and image templates that you can customize.
Object Stack
The Object Stack is located to the right of the canvas. It displays thumbnail images of objects on the canvas. Objects in the bottom layers of the Canvas are displayed at the bottom of the object stack, while the objects in the top layers of the canvas are displayed at the top of the object stack.
The thumbnails are identified by the following symbols:
The Stack Hide
symbol indicates that an object is hidden.
The Stack Edit
symbol indicates that an object is being edited.
- The Stack Image
symbol indicates that an object is an image object. It is displayed when an image file is pasted to the Canvas or when an object is converted to an image object.
The Stack Group
symbol indicates that an object is grouped.
