Working with themes
Themes provide the overall look and feel of your portal application. These are several ways to alter themes within your portal project.
Creating a new theme
In addition to using the existing themes, you can use the New Theme wizard to create customized themes for your project.
Editing an existing theme
You can open theme JSP files in Page Designer and a style sheet for a theme in CSS Designer to edit its appearance.
Changing themes within Portal Designer
Within Portal Designer, you can edit many options for your theme by using both the Properties and Outline views.
Testing and debugging theme JSPs
To view changes to your theme and skins JSP files without restarting the portal server, you can force the test server to automatically check for new versions of JSPs after deployment of theme/skin files. For more information, refer to Optimizing JSP file testing.
