Analyzing and reporting system problems

 

System problems are carefully tracked and managed in the i5/OS® operating system. When the system detects a problem, it generates a problem record and sends a message to the system operator message queue (QSYSOPR).

Familiarity with this process and the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and problem handling procedures are a basic part of system operations.
