Managing documents
The Document Manager portlet and Document Libraries portlet provide a central document repository for team collaboration.
This section presents an overall picture of the document management environment provided in WebSphere Portal Express. Documents created by Document Manager can be used by Web Content Management and can be the subject of business rules developed with Personalization.
Using the Document Libraries portlet and Document Manager portlet, you can create and configure document libraries to organize files and folders in a central working repository for documents. You can work with documents and folders within a document library using the default rich text editor, or another editor of your choice. If you enable the browser plug-in that is provided with the portlets, you have the option to work with documents using any editing software installed on your computer.
Limitations of the Document Manager and Document Libraries portlets
The portlets do not support being used as a remote WSRP service, or by an anonymous user.
