Configure the Document Manager portlet
Configure the Document Manager portlet to change settings for the specific instance of the portlet.
The Document Manager portlet requires some additional configuration after installation. The settings you configure affect only that particular instance of Document Manager. You might have multiple instances of Document Manager installed in a portal, and each instance can be configured differently. For example, Document Manager A might be set up to use a different document library than Document Manager B.
To configure a Document Manager portlet:
- Navigate to the Document Manager portlet that you want to configure.
- Click the drop-down menu icon, then select Configure.
- Specify the following settings, and then click Save. For descriptions of the settings, see Document Manager portlet settings.
- Show indicator for new documents
- Include in Search Center
- Enable document conversions
- Enable portal editors
- Enable browser plug-in
- Enable folder tree
- Enable Active Content Filtering
- Maximum number of items returned in a list
- When initially viewing a document, display first page
- Specify the SMTP mail server
- Configure the default root path for your portlet
Modified configuration settings take effect immediately.
