Administer IBM Telephone Directory V5.2

To access the IBM Telephone Directory V5.2 administrator pages, enter the following URL in your Web browser:

   http://your.server.name:port/ibm-bizApps/welcome/admin.do

where your.server.name is the name of the server where IBM Telephone Directory V5.2 is installed and port is the port number that was specified during installation. Click IBM Telephone Directory in the navigation bar.

 

Add entries

Use the following tasks to add entries to the IBM Telephone Directory V5.2 application:

• Add an entry using the IBM Telephone Directory V5.2 administrator pages

• Add multiple entries from an i5/OS^® system registry

• Add multiple entries using an .ldif file

 

Modify entries

Use the following tasks to modify individual entry properties using the IBM Telephone Directory V5.2 administrator pages:

  The Add an Entry tab allows the administrator to add entries to the directory.

• Add multiple entries from an i5/OS system registry
  After the installation of IBM Telephone Directory V5.2, you may want the application to use certain information from the i5/OS operating system. For example, the operating system provides a way to publish the system distribution directory to your LDAP directory server. Once the information is in your LDAP server, IBM Telephone Directory V5.2 has access to it.
