Changing the type or semantic of a merchandising association
To change the type or semantic of a merchandising association:
Procedure
- Find a catalog entry used as a source in a merchandising association.
- Select the source catalog entry, displaying the target catalog entries in the table.
- From the Target Catalog Entry table, select the association to change and do the following:
- Change the Association type: accessory, replacement, up-sell, or cross-sell. Any custom merchandising association types you created will also display.
- Change the Semantic identifier: requires, comes with, none, or temp. Any custom merchandising association semantics you created will also display.
- Click Save.

Notes:
- If you based the catalog on the Commerce Plaza starter store catalog, as part of the default behavior you need the following before you can display the newly created merchandising association:
- create an e-Marketing Spot that displays product information
- a Web activity scheduled for the e-Marketing Spot
- If you are in a reseller environment, you can only update merchandising associations which belong to the reseller, but you can view the manufacturer's merchandising associations.
