Create constraints for an answer

This section explains how to create constraints for an answer.

Procedure

  1. Open the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.

  2. Open the Guided Sell list:

    • From the Merchandise menu, click Guided Sell.

    • From the Products menu, click Guided Sell.

A list of Guided Sells displays. If you do not see this menu, then the logon ID does not have the appropriate authority to perform this task. Contact the Site Administrator.

  3. Select the check box to the left of the category name to work with and click Q and A Tree. The Q and A Tree for the selected Guided Sell displays.

  4. Create an answer or if the answer is linked to the Q and A Tree, then select the answer and click Change. The Change Answer notebook displays. If the answer is not linked to the Q and A Tree, then click Questions. The list of questions displays. Select the check box to the left of the question to work with and click Answers. The list of answers displays. Select the check box to the left of the answer to create constraints for and click Change. The Change Answer notebook displays.

  5. In the lower half of the Details panel click New and add the following information:

    • From the Feature field, select a feature such as color or size.

    • From the Operator field, select the type of operator such as "Equal To" or "Not Equal To", when assigning values to constraints.

    • From the Value field, select the value for the constraint.

  6. Click Add to add the constraint.

  7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for each constraint to create.

  8. The New Answer page or Change Answer notebook now displays a table containing the constraint's Feature, Operator, Value (Reference) in the store's default language, and Value in the selected language.

  9. Click OK to save the new constraints for the answer.

    1. To create constraints the Search Category must be defined for the selected category.

    2. You must first create the constraint in the store's default language, followed by any supported language.
