Searching within the Management Center
{ popup.focus(); }Show Me
Use the Management Center find area to locate objects for each tool within the Management Center. Search results are listed in the main work area.
- Open a Management Center tool.
- From the find area at the top right, type a search string in the search field, select from a list of object types, and click
to run the search.
Tip: If you are working on an object and want to associate it with another object or attribute, you can find and associate the object in a single step. The system performs a search based on your search criteria. For the Catalogs and Asset tools, this is a case-sensitive search; for the Promotions and Marketing tools, this is a case-insensitive search.You can also use the asterisk (*) as a wildcard before or after your search string. For example, to find all products that begin with "ABC", type ABC*; to find all products that end in "ABC", type *ABC. Note that searches that begin with a wildcard are slower than searches which end with a wildcard. For example, *ABC is much slower than ABC*.
Any special characters (for example, &, %, #, @, and so on), are treated literally. The asterisk (*); however, is only treated as literals when used between two asterisks, or when used in the middle of a string (such as 123*789).
- Optional: For a more refined search in Catalogs tool, select Advanced Search from the search type list:
