Determine whether a category or catalog entry belongs to the catalog asset store

If you are using the extended sites model, you might want to find out which master catalog categories and catalog entries belong to the asset store. Depending on what store the category or catalog entry belongs, the location of the entries can impact how you can manage those entries. For example, your role access might restrict your ability to manage entries in the asset store.

About this taskTo determine whether a master catalog category or catalog entry belongs to the catalog asset store, perform one of the following steps:

  1. Log into the extended site store.

  2. Open the properties view of a master catalog category or catalog entry:

    1. If there is a small blue arrow on the on the master catalog category icon

      or catalog entry icon on the properties view header, the master catalog category or catalog entry belongs to the asset store.

    2. Expand the Object Properties section; then look at the Associated Store field to see which store the master catalog category or catalog entry belongs to.

  3. Select a category in the explorer view. The business object icon with the small blue arrow

    indicates the list of master catalog categories or catalog entries belonging to the asset store.
