Enable LDAP in the Configuration Manager

You can enable LDAP in the Configuration Manager.

These steps are not required if you are using WebSphere Commerce Developer.

To enable LDAP in the Configuration Manager, perform the following steps on the server running WebSphere Commerce:

  1. Open the Configuration Manager.

  2. Under WebSphere Commerce expand node > Commerce > Instance List > instance > Instance Properties > Member SubSystem.

  3. In the Authentication Mode drop-down menu, select Member Manager.

  4. In the Entry File Name field, enter the relative path (not the absolute path) to the XML file. The default value is ldap/ldapentry.xml.

  5. Click Apply, then click OK.

  6. Ensure the instance server is started prior to exiting the Configuration Manager. The Configuration Manager requires a connection to publish changes to the deployed WebSphere Commerce application.

  7. Exit the Configuration Manager.

  8. Restart WebSphere Commerce.
