Directory services and WebSphere Commerce

WebSphere Commerce supports several different Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) servers.

To install and configure directory services with WebSphere Commerce, you must have knowledge in the following fields:

• WebSphere Commerce

• LDAP servers

• LDAP administration

To use a directory server with WebSphere Commerce install and configure the following software:

• WebSphere Commerce

• Member Manager

• Your LDAP server

The instructions in this section assume that you will use the default root organization or default organization structure to configure your Lightweight Directory Access Protocol server.
