Exploring builders in the sample application
Models contain the builder calls to produce a group of features in an application.
To look at the builders for the models in the sample application, follow these steps:
- Open the project in Designer.
- In the project view, open the directory where the models are stored. The sample application directories demonstrate the recommended practice of grouping models by their function.
Most models for the sample application can be found by clicking WebContent > WEB-INF > models > solutions > sampleapp.
Models that are included as part of the feature sets you chose for the project are found in WebContent > WEB-INF > models > solutions.
Models that allow users to customize and personalize their portlets are found in WebContent > WEB-INF > models > solutions > sampleapp > customizers.
Service-provider models that supply data for the portlets that users see are found in WebContent > WEB-INF > models > solutions > sampleapp > customizers.
- Open a model to see the builder calls listed in the outline view.
- Double-click the name of a builder call in the outline view to see which inputs were chosen for this builder call.
The sample application contains these key builders.
