The sample application's Home page displays information of interest to all executives in the company.
The Home page contains the following portlets:

- The Employee Satisfaction portlet displays the level of employee satisfaction by region. If employee satisfaction falls below x%, an alert is triggered.
- The Customer Complaints portlet displays customer complaints by year. If customer complaints rise above x%, an alert is triggered. The Alerts portlet provides configuration of the threshold.
- The Worldwide Headcount portlet displays headcount by job type.
- The My Alerts portlet displays active alerts subscribed to or owned by the current user. For each alert, the portlet displays the Priority, Message Summary, and the acknowledgement status.
