Deleting skins

By using both the Outline and Project Explorer views, you can delete a skin and its artifacts from a portal project.

Note: Before you delete a skin, make sure that you know the exact folder name. This information is available in the Resource Root field of the skin's Properties view. Once you delete a skin, it cannot be recovered.

To delete a skin node from the Outline view:

  1. Expand the

    Elements | Skins node.

  2. Highlight the skin you want to delete, then press the

    Delete key.

The skin will disappear from the Outline view To completely delete a skin, you also have to manually remove it's artifacts from the Project Explorer view.

To delete a skin's folder from the Project Explorer:

  1. In the project explorer view, expand the

[project name] | PortalContent | skins | html folder

  2. Delete the subfolder with the name of the skin that you deleted in the Outline view.

  3. Optional: If necessary for your project, expand both the CHTML and WML folders and delete that subfolders named after the skin.
