Editing cell properties
As you edit tables in your Web pages, you can change cell attributes such as identifying a cell as a data cell or a header cell, changing cell dimensions, aligning text in a cell, adding color, and others..
To change cell properties in a table:
- Select one or more cells in the table. If you select multiple cells , you can change attributes of all of them at once.
- In the Properties view, click the tab that corresponds to the tag you want to edit, for example TD.
- To change a data cell to a header cell, select the
Header radio button in the Cell type group.
- To align text in the cell, select values from the drop-down lists next to
Horizontal and
Vertical in the Alignment section.
- To assign the cell a fixed width and height, specify
Width and
Height in pixels. Type a pixel value (300, for example) in the field on the left, and, for cell width, select
pixels from the list to the right of the field.
- To change the cell width to a value that is a ratio relative to the table width, specify
Width as a percentage. Type a percentage ratio from 1 through 100 in the field on the left, and select % from the list to the right of the field.
- To add wallpaper to the background of a cell, click the Browse button next to the
Background Image field, and select an image file. You can also import a background image into the project.
- To add color to a table, click the Browse colors button. You have the following options:
- Select one of the predefined colors.
- Select Browse to open the Color dialog box. In addition to choosing from among the color options, you can create a color by clicking the
Define Custom Colors push button.
- Select
Color picker to select a color from anywhere on the screen.
