Migrate a secondary Web content system
These tasks provide detailed information used to migrate a Web Content Management secondary system. This can be a staging system, delivery system, test system or another authoring system. Only rendering portlets and user profiles are migrated on secondary systems. Syndication is used to transfer data from the primary system to secondary systems.
- Installing the Web content migration tool
Before migrating a Web content system, ensure that the Web content migration tool has been installed on your version 6.1 server.- Migrating user profiles
If you profiled your users with categories and keywords on your version 5.1 server, you will need to migrate your user profiles.- Migrating a local rendering portlet
After migrating your primary data re-configure all local rendering portlets to use the migrated data.
